Enthalpy of vaporisation of ethanol will be equal to the heat energy supplied to vaporize 1 mole of ethanol.
Molecular weight of ethanol =46g
Given that:-
Amount of heat energy supplied to vaporise 6.24g of ethanol =5.89kJ
Therefore,
Amount of heat energy supplied to vaporise 46g of ethanol =5.896.24×46=43.42kJ
Hence the enthalpy of vaporisation of ethanol is 43.42kJ.
