Solution

The reactions involved are:
CaOCl2+2KI+H2SO4I2+CaCl2+H2O+K2SO4
2 1
I2+2S2O23S4O26+2I
The number of moles of hypo solution =50×11000=50×103 mole.
The number of moles of I2=50×1032=25×103 mole.
The number of moles of CaOCl2=25×103 mole.
The mass of bleaching powder 25×103×127.2=3.18 g.
So, the percentage purity of the sample is =3.18×1006.35=50 %..
