Part 2: Melting of wax can be reversed whereas burning of wax cannot be reversed

  • Melting of wax is a reversible change because on heating solid wax melts and melted wax becomes solid on cooling.
  • The burning of wax is an irreversible change because we cannot get back the original candle.
