Let there are x number of rows in the auditorium.

Then, according to the problem number of soldiers in a row be also x.

So, total number of soldiers in the auditorium = x×x=x2.

ATQ,

x2=7921

x2=7921=89×89=892.

x=89 [Taking root on both the sides]

So, there are 89 rows in the auditorium.
