Then, $a=2\sqrt{2},d=(\sqrt{2}-2\sqrt{2})=-\sqrt{2}$
$a_8=a+7d$
$\therefore 2\sqrt{2}+7\times (-\sqrt{2})$
$\therefore a_8=-5\sqrt{2}$
