Prime factorisation of a perfect square has an even number of each prime factor.

$8820 = 2 \times 2 \times 3 \times 3 \times 5 \times 7 \times 7$
In the prime factorisation of 8820, number of 2's are 2, the number of 3’s are 2, the number of 5’s is 1, and the number of 7's are 2.
So, 8820 can be divided by 5 to make it a perfect square.
