which vessel(artery or vein) carry food & nutrient and which carry waste products?
Dear Expert,
How come de-oxygenated blood from the right ventricle and auricle flows into the pulmonary ARTERY and oxygenated blood flows from the pulmonary VEIN into the left auricle and ventricle. Doesnt that deny the fact that oxygenated blood flows in the arteries and de-oygenated blood in the veins?
Why is the left ventricular wall of the heart thicker than the right ventricular wall?
To accommodate a greater volume of blood
To expand the thoracic cage during diastole
To pump blood with greater pressure
To pump blood through a smaller valve
In the lesson it is mentioned that the Veins carry the deoxygenated blood to the heart.
Deoxygenated blood collected by the vein pick up oxygen in the lungs and the carbon dioxide is removed from it when we exhale( breathe out ). Further, the oxygenated blood is carried back to the heart where it is pumped again to all parts of the body through arteries.
So, the oxygenated blood only is carried back to the heart from the lungs instead of the deoxygenated blood as it is mentioned in the lesson.
Is it correct or not?
