The correct option is A 11 cm

Given: Kinetic energy of electron ( 12mv2 ) = 10 eV = 10×(1.6×1019) J

Magnetic induction (B) = 104 Wb/m2

To find : Orbital radius r



Solution:

We know mass of electron= 9.1×1031Kg

Therefore, 12(9.1×1031)v2=10×(1.6×1019)

Or, v2= 3.52×1012

Or, v = 1.876×106 m

Now centripetal force = mv2r = Bev

Therefore, r= mv/Be = 9.1×1031×1.876×106104×1.6×1019

Hence r= 11×102 m = 11 cm

Hence A is the correct option.
