The correct option is A. 15 minutes.

Volume of water to raise = V=22380l=22380×103 m3

Depth below the ground = d=20 m

Height above the ground = h=10 m

Therefore the total change in height = h=h2h1=hd=10(20)=30 m.

Power = P=10 HP=7460 W

The work done to raise a mass m at a height h near the surface of the earth is given by, W=U=mgh.

The power required is given by, P=Work doneTime taken=Wt
