A 100 m long train is travelling at 54 km/hr. In what time will it pass a man riding a bike at 36 km/hr in the same direction?
20 seconds
Given: Speed of the train = 54 km/hr
Speed of the bike = 36 km/hr
Relative speed = 54 - 36 = 18 km/hr [∵ They move in same direction]
18 km/hr = 518×18 = 5 m/s
Distance to be covered = 100 m (Length of the train)
∴ Time taken = 1005 = 20 seconds
