A 100 rupee note was changed into 10 and 20 rupees. 11 notes in all. How many of each ?.

Let number of 10 ruppee notes be x
THen number of 20 ruppee notes=11-x(total notes are 11)
Therefore 10x+(11-x)20=100
10x+220-20x=100
120=10x
x=12

This is not possible since there are altogether 11 notes only.

So with the given data you cannot have 100 ruppees.
