A 12 m long rope is tightly stretched between two points. A pulse generated in it travels forward and backward in 4 seconds. Calculate the speed of the pulse

Length of the rope = 12 cm
time t= 4 sec

Total distance travelled by the pulse = 24cm (forward and backward)

Speed = distance/time

S= 24/4

= 6cm/sec
