Let V1= speed of bullet =350 m/s
V2= initial speed of block =0
V= final speed of block & bullet
(final speed will be same for the block & bullet because bullet is embedded in the block)
By conservation of momentum,
Pi=Pf
m1v1+m2v2=(m1+m2)V
(0.015)×350+1.2×0=(0.015+1.2)×V
V=4.32 m/s
