Given: u=−20cm v=−40cm
We know Mirror formula 1f=1v+1u 1f=1−20+1−40 f=−13.3cm
Focal length of the mirror is 13.3 cm.
By using magnification formula: m=hiho=−vu hi2=−(−40)−20 hi=−4cm
So, an inverted image of 4 cm is formed.
