C=2μF,V=100V...(given)
Energy stored in the capacitor after charging the capacitor by 100V is given by,
12CV2=12×2×106×100×100
=102J=0.01J
when a conducting wire is connected to the capacitor, capacitor gets discharging and current starts flowing through conducting wire in the circuit.
+v continues with v and total charge on capacitor becomes 0.
Whole energy is released as heat from the conducting wire.
