Step 1, Given data
Length of the train = 200 m
Length of the bridge = 400 m
Velocity of the train = 36 km/h = 10 m/s
Step 2, Find the time taken
For the complete crossing of the bridge, the train has to travel a total distance equal to 400 m + 200 m = 600 m
We know,
$T i m e t a k e n = \frac{T o t a l d i s t a n c e}{V e l o c i t y}$
Putting all the values
$T i m e = \frac{600}{10} = 60 s e c$
Hence the time taken by train to cross the bridge is 60 sec or 1 min.
