Solution

The correct option is D 0.59M
1.0M NaOH means 1mole NaOH in 1 litre.
Moles of NaOH in 3.7L=1×3.7=3.7 moles
0.3M NaOH means 0.3mole NaOH in 1 Litre.
Moles of NaOH in 5.0L=0.3×5.0=1.5moles
On mixing the solution
Total moles =3.7+1.5=5.2
Total volume =3.7+5=8.7 litre
Molarity of the solution = 5.28.7
=0.59M
