First of all to find the location of the image we can apply mirror formula. 1u+1v=1f
Or 1v=1f−1u
So, 1v=16−−17.5
On solving we get, 1v=16+17.5 1v=310cm−1
Or, v=103cm.
Now the positive value of v means, the image is behind the mirror according to our sign convention.
Now let's find magnification and see what we get from there, m=hih0=−vu hih0=−103−7.5=1022.5
