The correct option is A 8.53
Ea=ϕNZ60(PA) ...(i)

EaIa=4×103 ...(ii)

Ia=VEaRa ...(iii)
Armature current , Ia=500Ea3

For series motor, Ia=IL ...(iv)

Substituting the value of Ia in equation (ii), we get

Ea×(500Ea3)=4×103

E2a500Ea+12×103=0

Ea=500±25×1044.8×1042

=474.72V

Armature current, Ia=500474.723=8.427A
