Given, P=5 diopter (convex lens)
f=15 m=20 cm
Since, a virtual image is formed, u and v both are negative.
Given, vu=4
v=4u ...(1)
From lens formula, 1v1u=1f
1f=14u1u120=144u=34u
u=15 cm
object is placed 15 cm away from the lens.
