Given:
Initial length of the rod = 5 m
Length of the rod to be joined = 4000 mm
We know that,
1 m = 1000 mm
Thus, 4000 mm = 4 m
Therefore, the final length of rod after joining
= 5 + 4 = 9 m = 9 x 100 cm = 900 cm
