The zener current IZ will minimum when the load resistance is maximum and the input voltage will also minimum.
Thus, IT=IZ(min)+IL(max)
By KVL, Vin(min)VZ=ITR=[IZ(min)+IL(max)]R
so, R=105(20+50)×103=71.43Ω
