We know,
Energy given out by the source per unit time = Power (P)
Therefore, energy given by the source in 't' sec = P×t
Again, the energy of each photon of green light is given by =hv=hcλ
The number of photons (n) emitted in time 't' sec is given by, n=P×t(hcλ)=P×t×λhc
Given,
P=500 W=500 J/s,
t=60 s
Hence,
Number of photons (n)=500×60×2000×10106.626×1034×3×108=3.0×1022
