Given that,

m1=5g

m2=2g

v1=10cm/s

v2=15m/s

Now, according to the law of conservation

m1v1+m2v2=(m1+m2)v

5×102×15=7v

v=207

v=2.88cm/s

Hence, the velocity is 2.88 cm/s in east
