Mass of the man m1=60 kg
Speed of the man =v1=10 ms
Mass of the skater,m2=40 kg
Let its velocity=v
∴ 60×10+0=100×v
⇒ v1=6 ms
loss in K.E.=(12)60×(10)2−12×100×36
= 1200 J
