Given: Length of the pole is 8m57cmand the length of the pole outside the pond is 4m66cm

1m=100cm1cm=1100m

8m57cm=8+57100=8.57m4m66cm=4+66100=4.66m

The length of the pole inside the pond is 8.57-4.66=3.91m

Hence, the depth of the pond is 3.91m.
