A)A suitcase with measure 40cm×24cm×12cm is to be covered with a tarpaulin of width 48cm is required to cover such 10 suitcases?

The suitcase
l = 40 cm
b = 24 cm
h = 12 cm
therefore,
Total Surface Area = 2(lb + bh + lh)
= 2 [(40*24) + (24*12) + (40*12)]
= 2 (960 + 288 +480 )
= 2 * 1728
= 3456 cm^2

Length of cloth required = (area of suitcase/ breadth) * 100
= (3456/ 48) * 100
= 72 * 100
= 7200 cm
= 7200 /100 m
= 72 m
