Given that:
n(U)=700,n(A)=200,n(B)=300 and n(AB)=100
To find:
n(AB)=?
Solution:
We know that,
n(AB)=n(AB)=n(U)n(AB) ............(i)
n(AB)=n(A)+n(B)n(AB)
=200+300100
=400
Putting value of n(AB) in eqn. in (i) we get,
n(AB)=n(AB)=n(U)n(AB)
=700400
=300
n(AB)=300
