Solution

The correct option is C 35
Given that A and B are independent events, then

P(A¯B)=P(A)+P(¯B)P(A¯B)

Given:P(A)=0.5,P(A¯B)=0.7

0.7=0.5+P(¯B)P(A)P(¯B) since A and B are independent events

0.70.5=P(¯B)(1P(A))

0.2=P(¯B)(10.5)

0.2=0.5×P(¯B)

P(¯B)=0.20.5×1010=25

P(B)=1P(¯B)=125=525=35
