Solution

Dear student,

Let Rs. a be the money with A and Rs. b be the money with B. Then, according to the question:(a + 100)= 0.75 (b - 100)----10.4(b + 100) = (a - 100) ----2Simplifying equations 1 and 2 , We get:a - 0.75b = -175 ---3-a +0.4b = -140 ---4Adding 3 and 4, we get-0.35b = -315 b = 900Now, from 3, we get a = 500Thus, A and B originally had Rs. 500 and Rs. 900 respectively.
