  3. Gas-Liquid (C): The process of gas becoming liquid is called condensation. Thus step C is condensation. During this process, heat is released in this process.
  4. Liquid-Solid (D): The opposite process, a liquid becoming a solid, is called solidification. Thus step D is solidification. During this process, heat is released known as the heat of solidification.

Thus, process (C) and (D) releases energy while the state change.
