Number whole numbers between two consecutive perfect squares m and n is 2m in that half of the numbers are odd and the rest are even.
So, number of odd numbers =m
So, in the given problem between perfect squares a and d, there will be a+b+c non - perfect odd number squares.
Between a and d, either b or c will be odd.
So the total number of odd numbers between a and d is a+b+c+1.
