(a) As he remembered these words, Babuli had feelings of love, respect and gratitude towards his elder brother. Babuli realised that nothing had changed for his elder brother—he was still concerned about Babuli’s well being.
(b) Two instances which show Babuli’s ingratitude:
When Babuli got down from the bus, he forgot to touch his elder brother’s feet. (paragraph 16)
After he started getting a comfortable income, it never occurred to him that he should buy warm clothes for his elder brother. (32)
(c) Land is compared by Babuli to his elder brother. The harvest is everything that his brother had provided Babuli with.
Through these words, Babuli wished to convey his gratitude towards his brother for his unselfish concern for Babuli’s well being.
