Solution

Step 1: Compute the baby's weight:

The baby's weight when the baby is born is 132ounces.

The baby gained 60 ounces.

Now, the weight of the baby is 132+60,i.e.192ounces

Step 2: Conversion of units:

The relation between ounces and pound is 1ounce=0.0625pound.

Multiply 192 by 0.0625 to obtain the weight in the unit pound.

192×0.0625=12

Hence, now the weight of the baby is 12 pounds.
