A bag contains 2 red, 5 blue and 8 white beads. If one bead is drawn from the bag what is the probability that it is red or white?

Solution

Total no of beds $= 2 + 5 + 8 = 15$
No of beds either red of white=8+2=10
$∴ P r o b a b i l i t y = \frac{10}{15} = \frac{2}{3}$
