A bag contains 25 balls of which x are red, 2x are white and 3 are blue . A ball is selected at random , what is the probability that it is (i) not red? (ii) white?

There are x red balls, 2x white balls and 3x blue balls. Total = 6x.

1) Probability ( the ball is not red )
= Probability (the ball is blue or white)
= (2x + 3x) / (6x)
= 5/6
2) Probability (the ball is white)
= 2x / 6x
= 1/3
