Open in App
Solution

Let, R shows red ball and B shows black balls.
For 1st bag:
Probability of getting red ball P(R1)=49
Probability of getting black ball P(B1)=59
For 2nd bag:
Probability of getting red ball P(R2)=310
Probability of getting black ball P(B2)=710
Required probability P : Balls drawn from both bags are of same colour.
That means either both balls are red or both are black.
Since, removal of ball from balls are independent events
,
P:P(R1)P(R2)+P(B1)P(B2)

P:49×310+59×710

P:1290+3590

P:4790
