Solution

Finding the probability of getting an odd number ball.

Let PE be the probability of getting a ball with odd number on it.

Total number of balls=6white+4red

=10

Number of possible outcomes=10

Balls with odd number of it=1,3,5,7 and 9

Number of possible outcomes=5

We know that PE=NumberoffavourableoutcomesNumberofpossibleoutcomes

So, PE=510

=12

Hence, probability of getting an odd number ball=12
