A bag contains coins of one-rupee, 50-paise and 24-paise denominations. The total amount in the bag is Rs. 500. To find the total number of 50-paise coins, which of the following information is sufficient?

The correct option is A Statement (I) alone is sufficient, but statement (II) alone is not sufficient.
(I) 3x+4x(0.50)+5x(0.25)=500
6.25x=500x=80
The total number of 50-paise coins =4x=320
But we can't be solved the question using statement (II).
Hence statement (I) alone is sufficient to answer the question.
