Question

A bag has red balls and 3 blue balls. The balls are identical in all respects other than colour.A ball is drawn from the bag without looking into the bag. What is the probability getting blue balls? Is it more or less than getting a red ball?

Solution

No of red balls = 1.
No of blue balls =3.
Total balls = 4.
Probability of blue ball =no of blue ball/ total number of balls
=3/4.
probability of red ball = no of red ball / total number of balls
=1/4.
So probability of blue ball is greater than probability of red ball.
