A bag of rice weigh 3.5kg and a tin of milk powder weighs 850g.Find the total weight of 3 bags of rice and 6tins of milk powder.

Weight of 1 bag of rice= 3.5kg
Weight of 1 tin of milk= 850 g
Weight of 3 bag of rice= 3×3.5=10.5kg
Weight of 6 tin of milk= 6×850=5100g=5.1kg
(dividing by 1000 because 1 kg =1000g)
Total weight =5.1+10.5 =15.6 kg
