The correct option is D 40cm
Velocity gained after falling a height equal to h1=100m is V1=2gh1=20×100=102m/s
so velocity with which it will rebound will be V2=e×V1, where e is the restitution coefficient.
so V2=0.2×102=22m/s
the new height reached will be h2=V222g=820=0.4m
