When a body moves through a liquid, it exerts a frictional force on the body. The friction offered by the liquid depends on:
  • Nature of the liquid
  • Shape of the object
  • Speed of the object in the liquid.

Here, the shape of the body in all cases is the same i.e spherical. Only the nature of the liquid and the speed of the body in the given mediums are different.
  • Lighter the liquid less will be the fluid friction or drag. Friction offered by the liquid will be less if the body moves at a low speed.
  • Water is lighter than honey. Hence, water will offer less drag. Now, if the ball is moving at a slower speed, it will experience the least drag among all.
Thus, the ball moving in water at 2m/s will experience the least drag.
