We know,
Perpendicular to the L.O.I, component of initial and final velocity will remain same.
ucos60=vsin60vu=cos60sin60 ...(i)

We know ,
e=Velocity of separationVelocity of approach =vcos60usin60 ....(ii)

From equation (i) and (ii)

e=(cos60sin60)2=cot260=13
