A ball is thrown on a smooth surface with a force and
it stops after some time. Is it supporting First law of motion. Give reasons for your answers.

Dear student,
The above statement supports the first law of motion.
According to Newton's First law of motion "a object continues in a state of rest or in state of motion until and unless it is compelled by an net external force. So, according to Newton, the ball should continue to roll, but there is rolling friction which exists between the ball and the surface which causes the ball to stop after sometime.
