Given,
$u = 10 m / s$
$v_{m} = 0 m / s$
$g = - 9.8 m / s^{2}$
From 3rd equation of motion,
$2 g s = v^{2} - u^{2}$
$- 2 \times 9.8 \times s = 0^{2} - 10^{2}$
$s = \frac{10 \times 10}{2 \times 9.8}$
$s = 5 m$
