Given : m1=m u1=2 m/s m2=2m u2=0 e=0.5

Velocity of mass m1 after collision V1=(m1em2)u1+(1+e)u2m2m1+m2

V1=(m0.5×(2m)2+(1+0.5)×0m+2m=0 m/s

Velocity of mass m2 after collision V2=(m2em1)u2+(1+e)u1m1m1+m2

V2=(2m0.5(m)×0+(1+0.5)×m×2m+2m=1 m/s
