Weight of ball , $W = m g = 0.5 \times 10 = 5 N$

Displacement after $1$ secs , $S = \frac{1}{2} g t^{2} = \frac{1}{2} \times 10 \times 1 = 5 m$

Work done by its weight $= F o r c e \cdot d i s p l a c e m e n t = m g S = 5 \times 5 = 25 J$
