A ball with a mass of 2 kg is swung in a circular path on a massless rope of length 0.5 m. If the balls speed is 1 m/s, what is the tension in the rope?

Given : m=2kg r=0.5 m v=1 m/s
Tension in the rope is equal to the centrifugal force acting on the ball.
Thus tension in the rope T=mv2r=2×120.5=4 N
