A balloon is connected to a meteorological ground station by a cable of length 500m and is inclined at 60o to the ground. Find the height of the balloon from the ground assuming no slackness in it.

As the cable is inclined at 60o to the ground Hence, We can Assume the cable as Hypotenuse of a Right Angled Triangle Whose base is the ground Height(=H) of the Balloon will be the Height of that Triangle , such that
H=500sin60o=500×32=2503m
